Conquer MG was proud to participate in MDA Engage Chicago on September 26, joining patients, families, advocates, nonprofit organizations, and industry representatives for a day focused on education, connection, and community engagement.
A special thank-you goes to Tammy Carter, Conquer MG Board Secretary and Patient Advocate, who represented Conquer MG at the event. Tammy spent the day connecting with attendees, sharing information about our programs and resources, and helping people learn more about the support available through Conquer MG.
As an exhibitor, Conquer MG shared information about support groups, educational resources, patient assistance, clinical trial opportunities, and other programs available to people living with myasthenia gravis and their families.
The event’s scavenger activity created additional opportunities for connection. More than 50 attendees stopped by the Conquer MG table to participate, giving Tammy the opportunity to introduce the organization, answer questions, and share resources with people from across the community. Four attendees also provided their information for follow-up, creating opportunities to continue those conversations beyond the event.
Our new Conquer MG canvas display and table covering helped create a welcoming and recognizable presence throughout the event. Along with printed materials, giveaways, branded apparel, and name badges, the display helped communicate how Conquer MG works to connect, assist, educate, and empower people living with MG.
Approximately 20 vendors participated in MDA Engage Chicago, giving attendees the opportunity to learn from a range of nonprofit and industry organizations. The event provided a valuable space to discover resources, learn about treatment and research, and build connections across the neuromuscular community.
For Conquer MG, the day was a meaningful opportunity to meet people seeking information and support while increasing awareness of the resources we provide. We’re grateful to MDA for bringing the community together and especially grateful to Tammy for representing Conquer MG and helping make these connections possible.
